About this Project
We provided professional industrial hygiene and project management services related to large scale asbestos abatement project in a 3.5 million square foot industrial facility.
We completed a preliminary hazardous materials assessment and prepared project planning documents, including abatement alternatives with associated preliminary scope, schedule and cost information.
The client selected our team along with an abatement firm to work together throughout the design and abatement process. This alliance approach allowed us to work closely with the abatement firm to develop the detailed abatement work plan. In conjunction with these efforts, we prepared more detailed hazardous material assessments based upon the final work plan.
In addition, we coordinated with governmental agencies and ensured detailed communication with all parties regarding the waste streams and disposal methods. Since we acted as the project manager, we had responsibility for overall project scope, budget, and schedule on behalf of the client.
We also executed a detailed abatement oversight and air monitoring plan to ensure the abatement was completed in a safe and effective manner and the employees working in the adjacent operating plant were protected.
