New OSHA regulations can be challenging to fully understand, implement, and comply with, and the new beryllium standard is no exception.

In a recent interview with Nilfisk, Tom Anthos, our Vice President, explains why we need a beryllium exposure standard, suggests ways to effectively apply controls, and offers pro tips to employers getting on the road to compliance.

“Beryllium and beryllium compounds have become more prevalent because the industries in which they’re used, like aerospace, electronics, energy, and telecommunications, have become more prominent in our lives. Historically, we didn’t understand that it was going to be a problem. Now, we see the canary in the coal mine.”
